Electric Heat Equipment Rebates: Oliver-Mercer Members, have rebates available to them for electric heaters. The rebate is based on $20.00 per 1,000 watts of permanently installed electric heaters, up to a maximum of $350. Heaters do not have to be purchased from Oliver-Mercer Electric. The rebate applies to new installations or for a conversion from another fuel type. Replacement and used heaters do not qualify for the rebate. Baseboard, cove or fan forced heaters along with electric furnaces, ETS units, and heat pumps qualify.
Electric Heat Programs Comparison to Fossil Fuels: Currently OME calculates the breakeven point between a 90% efficient propane furnace and the OME heat programs to be $0.77/gallon for the metered electric heat program and $0.67/gallon for the dual fuel program.
