Schedule A
All farm, residential, trailer court, small commercial and single phase servers with maximum of 49 KW, with the following exception: if the installation of a minimun 20KW of electric heat causes the KW to exceed the 49 KW, the consumer will remain on Rate Schedule A, provided the electric heat is metered separately.
- Base Rate $14.00
- The first 1,000 kWh per month 6.60¢ per kWh
- Over 1,000 kWh per month 5.20¢
Minimum monthly charge is $14.00 or $1.00 per KVA, whichever is greater.
All members requesting service will be required to sign a five-year service agreement.
All trailer court and apartment meters shall be read and billed monthly by the Cooperative.
Special Load Management Rates:

Water Heater Program:

Available to all members with electric water heaters that are used continually

Coop will install load management equipment to turn electric water heater off and on during peak electrical use periods

$3 credit/month - 30 & 40 gallon with elements less than 4500 watts

$5 credit/month - 50/52 gallon and 40 gallon with elements of 4500 watts and greater

- Electricity is primary heat source
- Backup heat source must be automated, thermostatically controlled fossil fuel system - propane,gas or fuel oil.
- No control periods
- Consumer will be required to install sepearate panel for heat and meter socket.
- Heat will be metered separately
- Rate:
- 2.5¢ discount off Schedule A rate
Coal/Electric:
- A program for the members with coal heat to install partial/whole home electric heat for use during spring and fall heating season.
- Coop will provide meter and meter socket.
- Member is responsible for installing heating units and wiring.
- Rate:
- 2.0¢ discount off of Schedule A.
Special Notice
If any modifications, "special" wiring changes, or a correction of consumer’s wiring errors are necessary for Co-op personnel to install the Load Management equipment, the additional cost of labor and material will be charged to the member.
Any errors in the wiring of electric heater(s) or device(s) by the member shall be the member's responsibility.
All wiring of electrical devices to be managed must be done according to approved State Wiring Codes and Practices.
Oliver Mercer Electric will contribute $20 per KW for electric heating equipment up to a total of $350.
